Roméo was born on February 5, 1924 in Lewiston, Maine.

He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S.Army and served in France and Germany.He was educated in local schools. He was a janitor for St. Peters and worked in the local shoe shops as a handsewer.

He married Thérese Jutras on September 27, 1947.

They had two children, Elaine and George.

Roméo died on March 2, 1982 in Lewiston, Maine.
